View of the day-All set up in Selby, our next home for a week or two...no trees here.
We got the camper ready to hook up, then went into town to pay for the parking spot, came back and got hooked up and were on the road before lunch.
We stopped at Danny's farm, where we had left the combine for the last couple weeks and dropped off a few cold Canadian beer to thank him. No one was around, so Marilyn hid them in a secure spot, so the boys wouldn't find them, then called Danny with the coordinates to their hiding place. He assured us they wouldn't last too long, anyway.
We got to Selby and set up camp, which didn't take too long, then Marilyn decided to dismantle the shower. It had been leaking around the shower door base and she had removed the silicone caulking and resealed it a while ago, but it didn't seem to be doing the trick, so the only way she could find out what the issue was, was to gut it.
After getting it apart, she got it all scraped and cleaned up, then decided there wasn't going to be enough silicone in the small tube that she had in her repair stash. Road trip to Mobridge.
We saw a few combines out in the field, but they were ones that had just taken a test...they weren't cutting, just waiting. The only machine we saw going was cutting field peas.
We picked up what we needed from Runnings, then grabbed some groceries for supper...the BBQ was finally going to see the light of day.
Back at the camper, Marilyn went back to work on the shower, getting it all siliconed up and put back together...except for one screw that fell down the drain. Good thing she saves stray screws in the "junk drawer", there was one that was the perfect fit. There was a three hour dry time, and after a test drive shower, it looks like the problem is solved.
Road trip with the pickup head tomorrow...
