View of the day-Jack has our tire ready to load when we showed up at his yard south of Stockholm, SK.

We were up early...thanks to the rain on the roof...and were heading north on a tire mission.  After pulling the 5th wheel hitch off the back of the pickup, we were on our way.

We stopped at Whitewood for breakfast, then made it out to Jack's yard to pick up the old tractor tire he had that we were going to use to set up our duals on the combine. Once the tire was loaded in the back of our pickup, we headed into Esterhazy to let Tyler measure up the rim for the other side of the adapter he was making for us.

After that short job was finished, we carried on north to pick up the other tire from the set that was at Jack's brother's farm. He had it looking the same as it was hanging from the front end loader of his John Deere tractor. Having them both fit in the back of the pickup was a bonus since we thought we would have top go get our trailer from Yorkton to bring them in to the tire shop.

We shopped around Yorkton, looking for the best deal on new tires for the rims. We could either get them for a good deal and wait a couple days...which would mean a trip back into Yorkton...or pay more and get them done today. We opted for the second one, dropped them off and went out to the farm to get the trailer.

While Al got the trailer hooked up, Marilyn dug around for some "winter wear" to take back to the trailer. It was wet, cold, windy and while Al has been known to go around in short sleeves, Marilyn needs to have at least 3-5 layers to block the wind and stay comfortable.

We got back to town, grabbed supper, then went to get the tires. Once we had the new ones loaded on the trailer, we stacked the better old one that was left, on top to take back to Jack's. We were halfway to getting set up with duals on the combine.

We headed back for the camper, stopping at Jack's to drop off the tire before getting home. It wasn't raining anymore, but it was pretty nippy and they are talking frost...they are also saying there will be some nice days coming up soon.

We'll believe it when we see it...
