View of the day-Al gets to make a few rounds.

It was a busy day for both of us, Marilyn covered 110 acres and Al kept hopping with 11 loads to the elevator as we finished another field.

We were able to get started by 11 am and Al got to do some combining until the truck was filled the first time. It seemed the power issue had been resolved as we were able to clip along at a pretty good pace...at least as good as a 55 bu/ac crop would allow us. We were doing pretty good with the moisture too, between 9-11%, while there were some harvesters that couldn't believe it was that dry because their samples were still coming in at 14-15%...so they waited.

Marilyn got to see some wildlife...two fawns were splitting their time at opposite ends of the field, running out of the crop when the combine came around and then back in only to run back out on the next round...very entertaining. Last night there was a wild hog with three little ones that got chased out of the standing wheat...Marilyn was not quick enough with the camera to get any pictures without risking a crash. The camera was at the ready in the cupholder of the combine...and that is where is stayed...Marilyn forgot to bring it back for the view of the day.

And so the upload is late...
