View of the day-The finishing touches on the new tire on the General.

We took a trip into Winner to see if we could get the tire fixed on the General...no luck, needed a new one.  Al settled for a "good used" one.

We stopped in at the truck repair shop to see about getting a new shifter, since the one we had picked up yesterday didn't have enough ports.  We took the old shift knob with us this time and Frank, the owner, looked at it and said, "this is really old" and he ended up ordering us in a new one, which should be in Monday morning.

We stopped for lunch at Shirley's Diner...it was mighty tasty and nice to get a 'home cooked' type meal.  After lunch, we headed back to Hamill to do some cleaning and loading.  On the way back, we passed a lot of combines running in the fields and in one, there were two combines dropping straw with the baler following close behind.

Back at the camper, we took a short break, then Marilyn put the Freight shifter back together with a new o-ring, which stopped the air leak...from the shifter, at least.  Once that was done, she got the compressor running and cleaned off the straight header, then loaded it on the high speed transport for the move to...well, we're not sure just yet.  Al worked on getting the tractor and cart trailer lined up on solid ground to get loaded.

We got the header strapped down, then went through the usual steps to get the tractor loaded on the trailer...that went without a hitch.   Once the trailer was hooked up to the Freight, we were done for the day.  It wasn't as hot as it has been the past week, but the humidity was up, so we were glad to get back into the air conditioned camper and get cleaned up.

We fired up the BBQ for supper, then Al got to settle in and watch a Canadian Football League game.  He was switching out during the commercials and found a movie on the Space Channel called Bigfoot.  Wow...what a stinker of a movie.  It was so terrible in every aspect, including the fact that the two stars were Barry Williams from The Brady Bunch and Danny Bonaduce from the Partridge Family, and there was no way to even excuse the poor effects and story line...this movie was filmed in 2012.  We had to keep watching because we thought it could not get any worse. We were wrong.

It was like not being able to look away from an accident...
