July 12, 2013

View of the day-The Missouri River from the rest stop over look at Chamberlain, SD.

Today we figured we would go north for a road trip...can't sit still for a whole day...so we were off to Chamberlain.  We didn't leave until 2pm...we had to watch the news at home on the dish before striking out.

It was another hot, sticky day and we tried to stay in as much A/C as we could.  After stopping at the rest stop to check out the Lewis and Clark history, we stopped at the CaseIH dealer where Al found a sack full of farm toys...a few 1/64 scale tractors and a couple of 1/32 scale for resale.  We stopped at a couple of antique shops where he managed to find a 1/32 scale 836 Versatile...for his own collection.

We grabbed a snack at Arby's, then headed back to Hamill, where Al had another CFL football game to watch.  The Riders won last night and tonight it is a Calgary-Montreal matchup.

Marilyn is going to find out just how bad Sharknado really is...
